It All Comes Down To Values
They lie at the heart of who we associate with.
One of the most challenging aspects of finding ‘our people’ or ‘our tribe’ is determining what the people we want to bond with, and spend time with believe. Most people settle for people that look like them, think like them, act like them - and that’s fine if we just desire a surface connection. When it comes to spiritual matters, particularly with those who have faith in The Most High - things can get a little complicated.
In all truth and honesty, when we seek to find meaningful fellowship and connection - we should examine our relationships very closely and at times that can appear complicated. What we say we want to do or believe is one thing - and actually embodying these traits is another. It pays dividends to approach new fellowships and relationships in the same manner in which we pick fruit. We readily look for bruises, holes, texture, and ripeness in grocery store produce. Imagine how much more important it is to look, listen and discern the spirit or spirits behind the person sitting in our living rooms or across from us at the cafe.
This scrutiny has nothing to do with discrimination or putting others down. But if we are looking to align ourselves with The Most High, our company must at the very least not hinder that alignment. Once our values are shaped by our Heavenly Father, anything in opposition to them is counterfeit.
All praise, glory and honor to The Most High.
